Feelin' Groovy: A Visual Rebranding of Radio Corporation of America Records
For my Senior Independent Study project at the College of Wooster, I decided to rebrand RCA records. This decision was made because of the resurgence of vinyl sales in recent years. Additionally, RCA's current logo was created in 1968 and requires a visual update to capitalize on the comeback of vinyl as the original branding looks its age. Similarly, as RCA is a tech brand that designs products other than sponsored records, there is a need for a logo specific to their records division. This thesis project coincides with a 50-plus page research paper where I delve into research done on advertising, marketing, and the implications of the rebranding process.
